Visit the monuments which have made the capital of Sicily famous throughout the world. The tour starts crossing the most well known streets of Palermo such as Via Libertà, to reach Piazza Politeama and Piazza Massimo with its famous theatre. Located within walking distance of each other, the Quattro Canti ("four corners"), the Pretoria Fountain, better known as the "fountain of shame", the Norman Cathedral and the Royal Palace adorn the historic center of Palermo. 

After breakfast visit of the Capital of Sicily, one of the richest towns for history and art. Visit the Cathedral, Norman Palace with its Palatin Chapel, the Four Corners, the Opera House, the Pretoria Square. Continue to Monreale to admire the Cathedral with its splendid 12th century mosaics, and the cloister of the Benedictine monastery with Moorish architecture. The tour continues to Mount Pellegrino, for a panoramic view of the city, up to reach the village of Mondello, the favourite beach of Palermo people for a walk or a nice swim.

CEFALU’ (Half day)
In 40 minutes we’ll reach Cefalu’ a beautiful village situated along the north coast at about 70 Km from the city. Time to walk along the old streets of the city centre and visit the Dome and the mediaeval lavatory. You can also have a nice rest along the sandy beautiful beach and swim. Return to Palermo in the early afternoon.

We’ll reach Agrigento in about 2 hours. The city, of Greek origin, is noted for its famous Valley of the Temples. The visit includes the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Herakles, the Temple of Zeus and the Sanctuary of Chtonian Deities (Temple of Castor and Pollux). In the afternoon we will reach the evocative archaeological park of Selinunte, the largest in the Mediterranean area with time to walk around the acropolis and the remains of the ancient temples. Return to Palermo in the late afternoon.

SEGESTA & ERICE (Half day)  
Departure from Palermo at about 8:30 am. After a journey of about one hour , we will arrive at the ancient city of Segesta, built strategically on a high floor probably between the fifth and fourth centuries BC. Here we can visit the theatre quite well preserved and the magnificent Doric temple of the fifth century. B.C. We then go up to Mount San Giuliano to reach the medieval town of Erice. We enter through the Porta Trapani, one of three gates that still exist to admire the nearby church and the fourteenth-century bell tower. A walk through the winding "vanedde" (streets) of Erice is a unique experience that will lead you to the Norman Castle, which offers a splendid view over Trapani, the western coast and Egadi islands. Return to Palermo just before lunch time.

TAORMINA & ETNA (Full day) 
Departure from Palermo. During the journey of two and a half hours through the interior parts of Sicily you can admire the wonderful scenery of Madonie and Erei Mountains and the breathtaking view of Enna, the highest provincial capital of Italy located at 1000m asl. The Mount Etna, with its 3340m / 12,000 feet above sea level, is the highest active volcano and the largest in Europe. We'll drive up the southern side until reaching Rifugio Sapienza at 1926m / 5906 feet and stroll through the spectacular lunar landscape of the Silvestri Craters formed in 1892. Time for lunch. We’ll reach then the town of Taormina, which is situated on a plateau on the Monte Tauro, dominating the Ionian coast. A pleasant walk will allow us to visit the beautiful Greek theater, Palazzo Corvaja (seat of the first Sicilian parliament in 1411) and then, continuing along the Corso Umberto, reach the lovely Belvedere. Leisure time for shopping and return to Palermo in the evening. 
General conditions:

  • The half day programs have a duration of approx 4 hours, while the full day ones 8 hours with exception for the excursion to Etna & Taormina whose duration is 10 hours approx.
  • The departure hour and the itinerary can be changed on request of the client without modifying the considered Km.
  • The programs do not include lunch or dinner and any other extra such as: entrance fees, tips,guide service, and so on.
